November 2019 Election Results
Election Calendar for 2024:
Presidential Primary: Tuesday, March 5, 2024
State Primary: Tuesday, August 13, 2024
General Election: Tuesday, November 5, 2024
The Town of White has three elected officials (called Supervisors)
on three year rotating terms resulting in an election every year held in November
at the General Election. This is unique to the Town of White due to
special legislation adopted in November 1959.
FOR THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION
THE TOWNSHIP BALLOT WILL HAVE A QUESTION FOR VOTERS
WHETHER TO MOVE THE TOWN ELECTION TO NOVEMBER IN EVEN-NUMBERED YEARS:
SHALL THE FIRST TUESDAY AFTER THE FIRST MONDAY IN NOVEMBER
IN EVEN-NUMBERED YEARS BE DESIGNATED AS THE DATE OF THE
WHITE TOWNSHIP GENERAL ELECTION?
VOTE YES OR NO
NOT ANSWERING THE QUESTION IS CONSIDERED A "NO" VOTE
MAJORITY IS NEEDED TO PASS
IF THIS QUESTION PASSES, IT IS A COST SAVINGS TO THE TOWNSHIP BECAUSE
THE TERMS OF THE SUPERVISORS WOULD BE EXTENDED TO FOUR
YEAR TERMS AND THE TOWNSHIP WOULD ONLY CONDUCT AN ELECTION
EVERY OTHER YEAR INSTEAD OF THE CURRENT YEARLY ELECTION.
